MNP issues

I had requested for MNP (9945694244) from Airtel to DOCOMO. DOCOMO did the relevant documentation and checking and arranged the new SIM card. Airtel rejected the MNP request on grounds of outstanding payment of 44 paisa whereas has Rs 1500 as security deposit with them.

The whole MNP seems to be a sham especially for post paid customers with service providers not allowing the MNP citing some flimsy reasons.

The government / TRAI should have zero tolerance in such matters and penalise the providers for non compliance.
