I have previously informed Airtel at least 4 times to cancel 3 broadband connections. At my parents, brothers' and my residence.

I am being continuously harassed and receiving text messages saying "As per your request the services for your airtel fixedline & broadband xxxxxxxx has been resumed"

Several times, I am unable to pick up phone calls but that does not in any way imply that my number should be resumed. Several times I have indeed picked up calls and confirmed the cancellation but yet they reinstated the connection. In fact I have been paying unknowingly for the last few months via ECS, even though I had informed their sales guy to cancel. Although they have admitted that they can no usage on that, they are not cancelling, let alone give me a refund.

I have not consented to any request for resumption of services and now I am getting phone calls for payment of bills and their executives are saying that until the bill is paid, they won't resume the disconnection.

Do not take any Airtel connections for Broadband. There are many fair players out there. Go for Tata.

I think some people need to get together to file a civil suit because I am seeing a number of such complaints. Anyone interested should comment or get back to me.
