I have just joined airtel by taking a postpaid connection in chennai. My no is 9500017670. My experience so far with Airtel has been pathetic. From one week iam trying to get my gprs setting activated on my phone. Since I use a smart phone these setting's are supposed to be done manually which requires me to call the contact centre which is the most inaccessible thing on planet earth. Calls wouldn’t simply go through because of high call volume. If Airtel claims to be a good service provider than I don’t understand why it doesn’t have the bandwidth to accept the customer calls. This is not an example for a day. This is the story from last one week. I am highly dissatisfied with the level of service and commitment shown by Airtel and to add up, it’s a sheer waste of my time and efforts for getting connected to them. I wrote to ombudsman@bharti.in on 3rd feb and based on that i did receive a call from Airtel Corporate office but the fact still remains that my issue is still unresolved. I was promised a call back on my alternate number on 4th February but again Airtel has lived upto their false commitment. I am still awaiting a call back. I don’t understand where is the issue? Is Bharti management so incompetent that it cant address complaints seriously? Inference that can be drawn from the entire issue is that they just complete the formality of following up compliant without executing the resolution for the customer. Its utter shame for such a big telecom company to have such a poor standard of customer service
