Sim Card Failure

I had taken a prepaid connection in September which i used till October 1st 2009. Since I am an NRI, when i came back by March 28th, my sim was not functioning. I called up customer care, they informed me that if not used within two months, it will get de activated. The same problem i had last year but that time they had informed me it was six months (non usage). Now i cannot get my old number and i have to take a new sim. It s disgusting to do it every time come to visit India for a couple of days.
Airtel never kept the promise they say. If they would have informed earlier, i would not have wasted half a day running to airtel office or calling up customer care. The Airtel office on Mavoor Road, there are a bunch of creeps working there, instead of addressing the problem with patience, they are talking in a way which we can make out, they are annoyed by our concern. I wish this company change its ways for good or give way to some other management which can operate in a better way. They also should have a way to check franchisees and terminate them for such behaviour.
