Sms not delivering

I have an airtel mobile prepaid connection 8106727125. i am unable to deliver the messages from this number to any bsnl number and balance is deducted from my account without delivering the message. i tried to contact the customer care of airtel but they r not responding and blaming my handset. i have checked everything and it is the mobile operator issue not the issue with my handset. please help me out with this.
