I had a delhi based mobile number from Airtel for which I requested a cancellation on ~18th feb as I had moved to Bangalore. The phone was disconnected from 18/08. I had requested the airtel customer care exec to send me my dues till 15th jan, adjust the security deposit and also give me a NOC to state that all dues have been settled.

I got a confirmation call (from asmcocp@airtel.in) for the disconnection, another customer care exec called me up to "rethink" the cancellation or to "gift" this number to someone else.

Now a Sunil Yadav - 91-9958830453 has started to make threatening phone calls. He claims to be representing bharti airtel and has filed a case against me in court. He was rude and his language was bad.

He has also started to call up my friends and associates in delhi to intimidate and harass me.

I am shocked at this behaviour of airtel - seems the company is in dire straits for having resorted to "GOONDAISM".

I have forwarded a complaint to the concerned person and am awaiting a response before I initiate a legal action for defaming my name by airtel and harassing me, my friends and infringing on our privacy.

All to be beware of such tactics from AIRTEL.
