DENIAL OF MNP REQUEST

Sir,

I am using the Airtel Post paidConnection (No.9940142333) for the past five years. On february 10th, I changed from Post Paid to Pre paid and retained the same number. Now I decided to move from Airtel to Videcon by using Mobile Number Portability to keep the same mobile number and placed the request. But Airtel rejected the request saying that my connection is just 2 months old. They (the customer care executives) say that I have to complete 3 months in Pre paid since I have changed to pre paid only on Feb.10th and I will be eligilbe to apply for MNP only after May 10th. But I am using the number for the past 5 years ie. as post paid till Feb.9th and Prepaid from Feb.10th onwards. The TRAI rules clearly specify that the customer has to be with the service provider (and not on a particular plan) for 90 days. Please let me know if I am eligible for MNP now? Or I have to wait till May.10th
