Dubious Billing 3G services

Hi,

Im a Airtel Mobile subscriber for the past 6 years. Recently I got a 3G activation done by airtel when i Just called for enquiry, They pushed me into getting a 100 Rs plan for 100 MB, I'm using GPRS for the past 3 years and my usage have never crossed 100 MB, I was using it for a while and got to know from my friends that the the 3g Billing is not structured and asked me stop using 3G from airtel to avoid any trouble. Within three days of getting alerted by my friends, I get a SMS from airtel saying that my usage has exceeded the limit and my current usage is for Rs 6637, I was shocked and called Airtel CC right away. When enquired about the same the agent on call told me that my usage as on that date is 229 MB and I would not be getting bill about 6000, and the alert I received was without discounts and my bill would be close to 1000-1500, I got shocked and asked her to disable the 3G service right away, and she did the same. Now I get a bill from airtel on 9th of June saying that I have to make a payment of whopping Rs 7882. It said the bill that total usage time is 80 mins, when I called CC they said that its for the usage of 510 MB, (Which is untrue and ridiculous). Now i sure that i could not use it for 512 meg in 8 days approx. This is insane that Airtel is trying to make joke out of their users. I have decided not to pay this bill, and when calling CC with respect to this problem all they do is say that they will transfer my call to Billing dept, which never happened, Once I waited even for 45 mins to get to and person from billing which is insane I lost my trust in airtel and They are one foolish company who think they can play with people's money initiating a new service.

If airtel if going to disconnect my number or gonna harass me for payment, I would ensure that I take it to the top. And also going write and article about the same issue in India Today.
