Forcing customers to continue with a VAS even if he wants to discontinue the same (Mobile # 9038379739)

Hi,
I had activated an SMS pack of Rs 51 using the service *777# from my handset. The service was auto renewal category and the auto renewal date was 5-July-11. For deactivation, a customer needs to use the same number (*777#). But since 2-July-11, i had been trying to deactivate the service so that it does not get auto renewed but am getting an error message as "Result Unknown". On 4-July-11, i called up the customer care and they said me that the service would get deactivated within 4 hours and it would not get renewed (CSR Executive name- Promita Saha). But to my surprise, theservice again got renewed today. When i called up 198, they disconnected the call. I plan to submit a hardcopy of this complaint at any Consumer Forum Office if this matter doesnt get sorted out at the earliest. Its high time that the Network providers pay some respect to their Prepaid customer base.
