I have (had?) Airtel post-paid service from June (99401-37729) and had no problems till July. From the end-July bill the CUG was not applied. When I call customer service they take a few days and calculate the bill and ask me to pay a corrected amount - without fixing the problem of CUG adjustment with the bill.

Last month a couple of one time charges were added to my bill (900 520) when my usual monthly bill is around Rs.700 (incl taxes). I was so disappointed and asked to disconnect my service. I was told somebody will talk with me before disconnecting and I will be given a date of disconnection (11/Nov). Without notifying anything (Airtel doesn't forget to send repeated SMS for higher call/SMS rates during festivals) my SIM was disconnected on 5/Nov. The customer service reps are no help when I asked for 1 week additional service to make other arrangements.

This is the level of service from a so-called blue-chip premier company. The pathetic customer service reps are disappointing and have a standard "we can do nothing sir, you asked for disconnecting". Looks like Airtel does NOT want to RETAIN CUSTOMERS and has NO WISH to have RETURNING CUSTOMERS even if they WANT TO.

I wish there is a way to make Airtel pay a punitive fine for such stupid service we are forced to endure.
