No Refund for Blocked Tele No

Dear Sir

1. I am a serving senior Army officer of the rank of Brigadier. I had taken a post paid mob connection No 9810807979 from Airtel dealer Unique Telecom Sadar Bazaar Delhi Cantt on 23 Dec 09.

2. All the required documents and certificates were provided to the satisfaction of the vendor. The no was activated wef 26 Dec 09.

3. On 27 Dec 09 I recd a no of calls asking for verification which I answered to the satisfaction of the caller. Again on 04 Jan 10 I was subjected to tele interrogation on the name of verification. Though we are not supposed to reveal even personal information to unknown caller I still answered all his queries.

4. From 05 jan 10, My outgoing calls were barred without any pre warning or sms. This resulted in lot of inconvenience to me and caused embarrassment to sr defence officer of my rank for reasons best known to the company and never informed to me.

5. I visited the dealer as mentioned above on the same day but he also could not help. On 05 Jan 10 I gave him an application to disconnect my no and refund my amount. He promises to have faxed the same to Airtel.

6. Thereafter I have sent complaints to the company customer care on 08 Jan, 10 Jan, 18 Feb, 23 Feb and 01 Mar 10. Initially company replied on 15 Jan that case will be resolved by 20 Feb 10 but no reply. Then on 22 Feb they said that you submit these documents to activate the number again.

7. I replied that I could not be waiting for so long without a phone so I have taken from another company. Pl refund my money. No reply after that. The call center also doesn't know and can't give satisfactory reply. I visited dealer on 06 Mar 10. He says that money can't be refunded as per coy policy.

8. In view of the above inconvenience for no fault of mine and such treatment to Army officers I am no longer interested in Airtel no. Airtel did not provide me services for 12 months as paid and disconnected after 10 days without even informing me. Now they don't even reply my mail.

9. In view of the above Airtel may please be directed to refund my balance money at the earliest.
