Airtel Virtual Calling Card
Excess charges levied for calls to Australia

Sir,

I purchased a Virtual Calling Card (prepaid for 225) paying Rs.225/-.I was informed that calls to Australia made through this account would be charged at Rs. 3.75 paise per minute. Believing that, I made few calls to Australia. To my surprise, I was charged at the rate of Rs.9 per call per minute. As a result, even before making 10 calls or so, the entire prepaid amount was drained.

I lodged complaints with Airtel Customer Care - both through mobile and net as detailed below:
