Money charged to credit card but neither a ticket nor trip id issued by Cleartrip

Hi,

On 25th November I called up Cleartrip phone booking line and initiated the process to book a round trip ticket for 2 adults, Bangalore to Sharjah. The phone booking executive took the booking request and directed me to the phone payment system were Rs. 32958 was charged to me credit card. My unfortunate experience with cleartrip starts at this point. After the credit card was charged, the phone booking executive gets on the line and informs me that the ticket isn't available and he has initiated a refund process. The funny thing is that no trip id was generated nor any communication from cleartrip about the transaction. The credit card statement is the only evidence that cleartrip has charged me for a ticket that doesn't exist. The representative told me that a refund will be reflected in my credit card statement in 5 working days. I took his statement at face value and waited for 5 working days. Seeing no refund I called cleartrip again and it too a huge effort to explain another executive what had happened. Since then it has been 3 weeks and every time I call cleatrip, the response is "We have initiated refund process and you will get it in 3 days".

I am beginning to loose trust in Cleartrip, primarily because the phone executive gives misleading information and most importantly they don't send an email on such failed (goofed-up) transactions. Even emails to customer service hasn't yielded any response. Please let me know, how I can draw Cleartrip's attention to this matter. I question that I want to ask Cleartrip is, "Has a refund process truly been initiated or am I being taken for a ride? ". I have been a cleartrip customer for nearly 2 years and every experience has been pleasant except this one. I held the company at high esteem, but seems like they are forcing me to change my opinion about them.
