Traveling & Tourism

Ashtamudi is a lovely option offered by Club Mahindra holiday membership. I went there in October. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip. They offer you the option of boat cruising on the Kollam to Alappuzha stretch. My stay on the boat cruise was very comfortable. The staff of Club Mahindra is well trained and guides you properly. The food served was delicious. Most of the gravies are cooked in coconut and are very tasty. The rooms on the houseboat are very comfortable and are very beautiful. I loved the sight from my room. The beautiful houseboat with the small villages lying on the banks of the backwaters was a beautiful sight. They provide lot of activities for those interested. The boat cruise offers you a serene and calm experience, free from the hustle and bustle of Kollam town.

I stayed in a one bedroom boat cottage. It is very comfortable with attached bath and running water. The living room, bedroom and sit out balcony offers you the facility of spending relaxing evenings in the balcony. You get a splendid view of the Kollam district from the balcony. Ashtamudi lake is a place worth visiting and I can safely say that I enjoyed my holiday there. For me it was money well-spent. A thoroughly relaxing holiday.
