Cancellation without concern & Misbehaviou

I have booked return ticket on 11-01 through easmytrip.com for Mumbai (Travel date 17-01) to Patna (Return Date 21-01). I have received SMS as well as confirmation mail from them. After some time i have received a call from 01143131313 and their telecaller Mr. Bittoo Kumar informed me that your return ticket from Patna through Kingfisher is not confirmed as the same is sold out (even though the same flight details are still showing on their website) and if you are ready to pay Rs.2400.00 extra, then we will send you the Ticket for the same flight. When I denied for that, he started talking me in very rude manner and asking for cancellation of Return Ticket. Even after refusing him for doing, he send me the cancellation/refund mail. My question is can they cancell anybody's ticket without their concern and when the flight is sold out, why the same is available on their website and how can they issue a ticket with extra cost when the flight is full as informed by them.
