It has the facility like TNSTC Bus depot, Sub-Court, Sub-Treasury, Banks, Government hospitals, Higher secondary schools, Taluk office, VAO office, etc. Many people around 50 villages comes everyday to uthukottai for hospital, Taluk office, Bank, School, etc.. Nowadays MTC busses are coming to uthukottai but the frequency is very very less. So do the needful to increase the MTC bus frequency from Red-Hills to uthukottai, CMBT-Uthukottai and Need to start MTC service from Thiruvallur - Uthukottai.
