Dishonour of Contract

The subscription package purchased included Cleartrip voucher of INR 525/- for booking against domestic or international air tickets and valid on bookings made before 30.11.2012. However, when I was trying to book the flight on 28.11.2012 and faced an error ('the coupon not valid or already used'), the customer care executive came out with reasons ranging from 'it is not available for international bookings' to 'it is not available on return tickets'. I sent him a print of screen from his own website with details of offer. He admitted the mistake.

I asked for the refund of voucher amount instead of any extension in validity of voucher as a compensation to already caused inconvenience. However, till date neither extension nor refund has been provided to me. I hereby claim a compensation for the inconvenience caused to the extent of INR 50, 000/-.
