If you are thinking of getting DTH satellite TV, I would suggest stay clear of Airtel DTH!
For the simple reason: if something goes wrong (and it frequently does), you will go completely bonkers trying to get in touch with someone to register a complaint, or to find out why no one is the least bit bothered to solve the complaint.
They have toll free number, but believe me, it's absolute bull**t. It takes a long time before it gets to any option to 'speak to a customer executive', and then you will be on hold forever. Actually, it is not forever, since after 10 minutes, it will simply disconnect you, without even saying 'Goodbye' And for 10 minutes you have to listen to Airtel telling you how important you (customer) are to them, and to please hold on. What a F! &3*g joke. I have tried calling from different numbers, different phone operators (to make sure it was not a problem from my side), but the same result. In between, the IVR will tell you to press 9 to speak with a living person, but when you press 9, it will say 'invalid option'.
So the bottom line is... go with Tata Sky. Apparently, the best thing about them is their customer service. If that is the case, even if they are a bit more expensive, believe me, you'll thank me for this advice later.
