Service requests in limbo

God & his saints help you if your Airtel dth conks out - or, as in my case, u move ur installation. My customer no is 3000762299. My service request nos: 4435335 "Video Problem"; 4468043 "Installation Related"; 4490016 "Video Problem"; 4502848 "Engineer Related" have been hanging in midair for the last one week. When I called the mobile no mentioned in the SMS, the pelnipotentiary at the other end asks me to call up another pleni... who tells me to call another etc., thereby enlisting me as a virtual backend worker for the great Airtel Globocorp. Consumer complaint graciously notes down grievance & gives deadline by which complaint will be attended to. But when the deadline passes (and nothing happens), the grievance is "closed successfully". In fact I have been forbearing as there is an existing digital cable service available to me with channels that Airtel doesn't have - like Diva, News9 (B'lore), Daystar etc.
