Almost 5-6 month back, Airtel DTH setup box had some technical snag after complaint registered to customer center and set box had been replaced and Rs 500 has been charged for the same.
Surprisingly the changed setupbox was of older model than the replaced one. After replacement almost every month this setup box developed some technical snag and I had to log complaint to Customer care. Every time service person fixed the problem and charges Rs.100. also on Monday 4th may I had raised the complaint # 7610254 about Setup box is not turning on and I got SMS that service person will come by next day by 11:30 am and will do the servicing without any charge.
Till 5th May evening, no Service representative visited.
When I tried to connect customer center [almost 20 times] The representative put my call on hold for 10 min and disconnect it. Finally one of representative has shown curtsy to listen my problem and provided me the contact number 7709003435 of service person whom this request was assigned. When I had contacted this service person and asked him to fix the problem, initially he gave me the excuses saying that the area I stay have power shutdown on Thursday, that’s the reason he won’t come today. When I confirmed no power cut, then he told me, he will only come if I am ready to pay Rs 100 to him as service charge. After agreeing to pay Rs100 [ ideally I should have not been], he did not appeared . when I contacted him on again on 6th May, he told me he had assign this complaint to other person. When I contacted this person, he said he will come by not came till today.
Meantime I was in contact with customer care and had horrible experience, every time I got commitment problem would be resolved in 24 hrs. Now today is 6th day still the problem is not resolved. The worst part is when i asked customer care representative to transfer my call to his manager I want to escalate this issue, he transferred to some anonymous person who was talking me in Bangali and want me to explain my issue in Bangali [ which is unknown lang. for me].
Horrible experience with Airtel. This is kind of customer harassment. This is totally unprofessional behavior on Airtel part.
Recommend all of you just away from Airtel DTH. Meantime I did started sharing this horrible experience using corporate internal communication like Wipro and Infosys to make aware of this cheaters
