Given below is a copy of email i wrote to airteldth

i am an airtel dth customer for past 15 months

CUSTOMER ID: 3003887545

on 11 aug 11 my tv started showing an error code SM2

i contacted your customer care and they said it was an installation error and asked me to keep the settop box on for another half an hour and problem will be resolved

the tv services started after half an hour to disappear again and SM 2 error code was shown

this process repested 6-7 times till i was told that since i had a HDDTH reciever i need to shift to a new satellite link to keep tv services

i lodged a fresh complaint on 17/18 aug 11

engineer reported on 18 aug 11 (name mohammed, mobile no 8600140247) and said he could not rectify the problem and left with the assurance that he will send somebody, however noone came to visit

again a fresh complaint was lodged and engineer reported on 20 aug 11, he opened the dish and as there was no electricity at that point of time, promised to return in an hour (gave his moble no, 08975336432, name muzamil) but he never returned on 20 aug. on 21 aug i gave a call to him and he promised to visit but did not. on 22 aug i gave him a call but said he could not attend to it.

on 22 aug around 1100 h i called up customer care and they gave me a slot of 1600h on 22 aug 11for engineer visit, and also registered a complaint against engineering support. however she asked me the details of the engineer who visited me and asked me to call again. again called customer support on 22 aug 11 at 1115 h approx and this time again they said complaint was registered.

nobody reported yet again to rectify the problem. at 1700h i called up a customer care executive who said that no such complaint was registered and asked me to register a fresh complaint. when i asked him to put a senior on line he DISCONNECTED the phone (i believe customercare are no supposed to do that)

i called up yet again at around 1715h and asked for a supervisor to speak to me, after a long discussion and wait of ten mins or more i could speak to someone who claimed he was the senior on floor. he confirmed that my previous complaints have not been registered. lodged a fresh complaint for engineer visit and gave me an appointment of 24 aug 11 at 1700h. however he said he could not do anything for the visit scheduled on 22aug11 1600h to materialize and when asked if i could be reimbursed damges for non availability of tv services and the talktime spent on conversing with your customercare, he balatantly refused and told me it was my fault only that i did not register the complaint correctly.
