Jayam and Co/Thomson
Very old TV sold to us with expired warranty card

TV & Radio

Recently on 12 Aug 07 I purchased a 21 inch TV from Jayam and Co, Annanagar for Rs.4, 500 which they have mentioned that it is discounted Aadi sale and told that it has one year warranty and issued a warranty card with the dealer seal on it.

Now I have a problem in my TV, when contacted the dealer Jayam & Co they delayed the process for 3days starting from 30 Aug 07 and now today 3Sep07 they gave a shocking news to me saying that the warranty got expired in 2004 itself which is a case of forgery. I have been interacting with Nagaratinam, Murugan from Jayam and co which is useless and they lied to me that no one issued warranty card in their company. Will anybody buy any goods with out any warranty that too in a place where they sell new goods.

I have decided to sue the company and will take them to consumer forum and will fight for compensation for metal torture as well as for a new TV.
