ATM short debit throough SBI ATM

I am holder of PNB SB account NO.4716000100006168, standing at PNB Rohta Road, Meerut. Today i attempt to w/d amount of Rs.6000/- from SBI Meerut cantt ATM situated at SBI Meerut cant compound. But when I have complete my transaction I count the amount and found that Rs.6000/- comes from debit and one note of Rs.500/- goes inside the ATM suddenly. so, I receive only Rs.5500/- instead of Rs.6000/- from ATM.
