Non renewal of car insurance

I had appled for renewal of my car insurance policy on 21 Jun (which had lapsed on 6th June). The policy status was shwon as pending with surveyor for almost two months. In between i got calls from the survryor located at Agartala that he will come for survey of the car, But after two months almost the status was shown as "policy rejected as condition of car unsatisfactory is survey" while on ground the survey was never carried out.
