Illegal Deductions from ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company during Free Look Period

We were introduced to a single premium life insurance policy by a manager of ICICI Bank and an officer of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company.
All features of the insurance were explained to us verbally and no policy literature was given to us.
The application form did not mention any thing about the policy features.
Upon payment of the single premium of Rs 500, 000/- we were issued a policy. The letter from ICICI Prudential life Insurance company mentioned that we can either continue or cancel the policy within the free look period of 14 days.
We found the policy terms to be different from what was verbally explained to us and sent an email to lifeline@iciciprulife.com, eliteservice@iciciprulife.com seeking clarifications. We did not receive any response from ICICI Prudential life, other than a standard response on how to contact them for different issues. The mail from ICICI Prudential Life implied that an officer will call us over phone.
An officer from ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company called us and explained that the features we are referring is not available. He advised us to surrender the policy to the nearest ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Policy. We surrendered the policy during the free look period citing reasons that policy features were not consistent with the what was described to us.
To our shock, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance company deducted an amount of Rs 16, 000 and refunded the balance amount.
Our subsequent emails to grievance@iciciprulife.com, ifeline@iciciprulife.com, eliteservice@iciciprulife.com, were returned undelivered, which mentioned that our email ID through which we communicated to ICICI Prudential Life is Un-authorized.
Our only hope is to work through the officers who have introduced the policy to us.
