Non receipt of matured amount & intimation

I had a policy No.682857545 for Rs.50000/- was matured on 15.12.2010 I have not received any intimation from L.I.C so far. When I went and asked about my policy matured amount & the penal interest for the matured policy from 01.11.2011 to 15.04.2011. The Manager of L.I.C branch Bellampalli has told that his branch has given intimation in the month of Jan'2011 through post, the non receipt of intimation is not our fault you can go and inquire at postal department. We will pay only the matured amount without any penal interest that is also on 18.04.2011 since the particular staff who is issuing the cheque is not available. He I request your good self to kindly look into this mater and do needful.
