Misuse of my credit card

I am Biplab Ghosh, I was having a HDFC credit card . it has been misplaced on 31st dec. As soon as i realised my mistake on 2nd jan i immediately informed customer care to block my card. then only i came to know that it has been misused for tune of Rs.10545 . i collected the swipping slip from the merchant and found different signature on it. i didn't able to understand how the bank has paid to to the merchant without verifying my signature with the records.

then i lodged the police complaint on 2nd jan and i wrote letters to HDFC Customer care, gurgaon and chennai, but getting no response from their side. after all the developments i was fed up with the threatening recovery calls. then i sent legal notice to customer care also. The executives of HDFC came to me several times.i have narrated all these facts to them and they also assured me not to pay the money. after all the developments i used to recieve 3-4 calls in a year. after a long gap i recived a letter from HDFC Credit card division chennai stating that the bank has done hold on status to m account in HDFC bank for rs.88210, against earlier claims. Rs.10545 .

I put a single question to high officials of HDFC BANK, how i am liable to pay you self made exaggerated amount of interest on my lost and misused credit card.

so i request you to please do the needful and take strict action against them.
