Credit Card Fraud

On 30th August I had received a call from 0911244941500 informing me that I have been selected by HDFC bank for a Life time free no limit credit card basis my usage & payments on the current card. They also said that I would be getting free gifts such as a watch, sunglasses and a voucher as a part of this new credit card. They also confirmed that there is no fee for joining /member ship of the card and all this was free. They told me that I would need to confirm my details through IVR .The person who called me connected me to an IVR and asked me put in my details when asked for which I did. Post that he told me that I would be receiving my card & gifts through courier and I need to keep my documents and transaction Id (44117) provided by him ready to collect the courier.

To my surprise I received a message from HDFC stating “Thank you for Using your HDFC Card for Rs 4964.00 in New Delhi at IVR Plat5 Consultancy P on 30/11. As I had not done any transaction I called up Tel Banking and they asked me to block the card as a precaution and raise a dispute about this with the Bank which i did.

The case has been already esclated to HDFC Bank, I donot need any card or Gift Just a refund of Amount to my card.
