First of all American Express Credit cards comes with a big annual fee. when I took American Express credit card I paid INR 5500/ as annual fee. They promised to give me a gift voucher of INR 5000/-. And they told the reward points will never expire and it can be used to fly with Kingfisher and also other gift vouchers like shopper stop etc. However instead of giving me Rs 5K gift voucher they provided me 11000 reward points and to my surprise I could only get a gift voucher worth Rs 3000/- in best scenario. The story does not end here. Later they sent one email on 28th of Apr asking all the points will transfer to kings miles by 1st May. So if you want gift vouchers, get it by 30th Apr. Of course I missed the deadline and I lost all the points. I am not sure which banking agency will give only 2 days notice period for any thing. They are totally fraud. Let me tell you, there is absolutely no benifit, using these cards. if you spend ~2 Lakhs in a year, you will get one domestic one way ticket from them. They are totally shameless people, as when I called them to put my concern, they do not want to listen anything. Strongly suggest please do not fall for any of their marketing grimicks, its all illusion. They talk great till you agree for their credit card. Remember it is never free.
