Hello,
I am in The hotel industry. I have repeatedly been rejected by a number of good and emminent hotels for employment in terms of my gender. I am filing this complaint since I am unemployed and this negative approach will ruin my future. I want to get to your notice that in the hotel industry, the post of chef/ kitchen has only been reserved for men. I have applied for kitchen a no of times and they have rejected me because of my gender. They do not give any concrete reason. They are adaman that only men must be allowed to join the kitchen sector culinary/chef of a kitchen. I think this is discriminatory in itself and must be taken action, this the work is not manly as such, its discrimination.
Many of my female colleagues think this is wrong and must be changed at once.
Male dominated fields are many but to not allow any female at all that too in a hotel (kitchen/bakery) is utterly unethical and wrong.
Please take strict action to the earliest.
Thank you.
