BLUE DART Couriers
Unfriendly Service... would not deliver for silly reasons

We were expecting a document package from Birla Sun Life Insurance from 14th May onwards. We were out of town on the 20th May, and when we returned we found a BLUE DART intimation for our package from BSLI. So i called up and told them not to send the same for delivery again, as i will come by their center and collect it. To this they REFUSED! The reason given by them is just silly. They said it was a package from a bank and so they cannot hand it over the counter. They have to give delivery. I told them it was only Gift Vouchers that i won, and in case they are worried, i always carry proof of identity with me which i can show. But the executive was stubborn and kept on repeating the same line. In fact, she grew unfriendly and told me that they normally just send back the packages. It is just because we contacted them that they will give me delivery. I know this to be against any courier's policy, and this person was just lying to me. Not only that, this person tells me to wait at my place between 4:30 - 5:30 pm to receive the package. I tol her we are all working and that is why i am asking to collect from their center. She told me nothing can be done, and package will go back if i am not there.

There are couriers like First Flight, DTDC, and Professional through which we get bank cheques and credit card bills, etc. and we are able to collect from their centers without a problem.

BLUE DART is definitely not on my list of courier companies to consider for my packages, because my reputation will suffer because of such attitude from courier company.
