Sub: Requisition for new trains from Chennai to

Rajasthan/Jaipur or Jodhpur side

From past many years there has been only one train leaving from Chennai to Ahmedabad i.e. NAVJEEVAN EXPRESS and that has also not been extended upto Jaipur or Jodhpur. It is very difficult for passengers/ senior citizen/Ladies to change trains in Ahmedabad for leaving to Rajasthan. For a long period there is only one train i.e. JODHPUR EXPRESS that also only Once in a week from Chennai Egmore to Jodhpur for which also frequency has not been increased. It is brought to your notice that in Bangalore Direct train to jodhpur started only after Chennai service started but that also runs twice a week from Bangalore. Looking at the large community of Rajasthani people residing in and around of Chennai it becomes extremely difficult to book tickets in summer vacation when there is only one DIRECT train. Our community frequently visits Ancient Jain Temples which are situated in Rajasthan and I can assure that even after the frequency is increased, Trains will be Booked in Full and they will not run empty. Ours is a totally Law Abiding Community and We have also contributed directly or indirectly towards development and building of INDIAN RAILWAYS.

Kindly look at the above requests and forward to the concerned superior department, so that there are MORE trains leaving from Chennai to Rajasthan/Jaipur/Jodhpur Side on a daily basis. Awaiting your positive response/reply and immediate action. This is for your kind information.
