Deficiency in Product Quality

This is with reference to purchase of Chevrolet Spark Engine # - B10S1479685KC2, VIN # - MA6MF481BAH044102 from Apex Auto – Plot # 245, Ward No. 5, Sector -14, (Opposite ICICI Bank) Gurgaon (Haryana) on 27th Mar in the name of Mr. Hemant Kumar (My brother). I would like to report the incidence happened on 7th Apr. As a routine I drove my car for around 18-20 KM in the morning at round 0530 hrs and came back to park my car in the front open area of my house, clean the dust from my car and went inside my house. I was sitting inside my house and after 20-25 min our neighbors rang the door bell and informed us that the smoke is coming out from the bonut of the car. When we open the bonut and saw the flames of fire inside the bonut. Immediately we put the water on the fire and inform the dealer from where we purchased the car at around 0830 hrs. They told us to get in touch with the workshop situated at Maruti Industrial Area (Apex Auto), Gurgaon (Haryana). I informed the same to them and they tow the car from my place with the help of crane to workshop.

Its very surprising that it happened in a brand new car of Chevrolet and at the time when car was parked inside the house. Fortunately the incidence didn’t happen during the driving. Otherwise live of passengers could have been in danger.

Now we are scarred to drive GM vehicles.
