I had purchased a Smart Card No CR 0218003 issued by Central Railways. I had recharged it twice and found the card very useful. But to my surprise I went for recharging and was told that my Smard Card had expired and was of no use. The balance and the deposit paid on the card was forfeited. This I felt was Cheating. Why at all should the card be invalid and why was the deposit on the card be forfeited with any valid reason. The Railways can find better ways of earning revenue. I wish to advise commuters to desist from buying these smart cards.
