Refund of Booking amount

Dear Sirs,

I booked a Maruthi Zen Estilo with Jaikrishnaa Automobiles, Mettupalayam Road Coimbatore by paying Rs.5000 in cash as booking amount. The sales person was Mr. Madurai Pandian.

Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel the booking after 10 days, I went to the dealer wrote a detailed letter presented the booking receipt and cancelled the booking.

I was asked to come after 3 days for the cheque, till that dayI was not informed how much amount would be returned even if there are any cancellation charges.

I went to the dealer again for the cheque but was asked to come after 2 days as the person handling the finance was away.

Since I was not in station I asked my brother to collect the cheque, he was handed over a cheque of Just Rs.4000.

I do not know on what basis they deducted Rs. 1000 just as cancellation charges. Repeated questions on this to the dealer has no proper answers, the sales representative is on leave for several days. The dealer says I was informed by the sales person about the Rs.1000 deduction, but I was not all informed, to verify in person the sales person is on leave for many days. They are even saying I should get the remaining amount from the sales person directly. No one explains on what basis the amount Rs.1000 was deducted even if it was for cancellation charges. My Brother was harassed for asking the remaining amount.

This kind of unprofessional attitude was not expected out of a dealer of Maruti Udyog limited.

The Rs.1000 is hard earned money which has just gone into the hands of dealer for no reason.

I request you to look into this matter and help me in getting back the remaining amount.
