Theft in AC coach

Dear Sir/Madam

My laptop bag was stolen from my seat on 15/12/09. I was traveling from Raipur to Howrah in Howrah mail – 2809, in A2/44, PNR No. 8338183556. I boarded the train on 14th evening from Raipur. I have kept my bag on my seat only. At 5.45 AM on 15th I kept my bag on the rack, provided by railway near upper berth for keeping luggage, beside my seat so that I can rest comfortably for some time. I dozed off and at 7 AM I saw my bag is not there. I looked for it everywhere in the coach and also in adjacent coaches but I didn’t get it. I looked for the attendant also but he was not there. This incident happened between Santragachi to Tikiapara. I lodged complain in Howrah. The bag was containing Laptop (Compaq), Rs.7000 cash, 8 GB Pen drive, PAN card, Driving license, credit cards, ATM cards, Rs.2000 Gift vouchers, Sunglass, important documents, books, personal belongings etc. Now it is more than 3 months I have lodged the complain but nothing has been done. Please suggest how to go ahead for compensation.
