BAd Service. Charging more amount

I have got my vehicle repaired from NCR ford in the Month of Nov. The centre has performed some service work on my AC and charged me 1200 Rs for the AC Gas.(charged for 1 KG of GAS as against the capacity of 530 gm of ford IKON)

When I test drove it, the AC was not working. I asked the service centre and they said that they forgot to fill the GAS (Although amount has already been charged) and as they don’t have GAS right now, I should come to them some time later. I said that it won’t be possible for me and asked them to fill it. I don’t know from where they got a cylinder and filled the gas and said its working now.

Since it was winters in Delhi, I haven’t checked it for few months. I used AC in January and then I came to know that the AC is not working properly. I again visited the service centre and asked them to check the AC. No one checked the AC and said that as of now we have some cars to work upon and visit us after few days.

I was travelling for next two months. Now in march, I again started to use the AC and because it was already not working, I revisited the service centre again on April 2 and asked them to check it. No one at the service centre wanted to check it and said it is working good. On my repeated request they checked it and they came to know that there was only 165 gm of GAS as against the prescribed standard of 530 gm.

I asked them to check if GAS is leaking, because I got it filled in Nov and not used it since then, and came to know that the gas was not leaking either (the vehicle was observed for at least 30 minutes with the air pressure and there was no change in it).

I discussed the matter with the service centre GM and asked him that at the first instance only the GAS was not filled right. He said that he don’t care and if I want it to be refilled, it needs to be paid.

I said him that I will complain for it for which he replied do whatever you feel like I don’t care.

Then I left his room. He called the mechanic in his room.

At that time my car was on vacuum for refilling the GAS. The mechanic came and without getting the AC completely vacuumed filled the GAS and started accelerating the car due to which the AC pipe busted. Then he said that see that was the place from where the GAS was leaking but we couldn’t observed (I understand that these sort of tactics are done to hide their own mistake).

As I did not had any option, I asked them to replace the pipe and refill the GAS.

On invoicing I checked that I have been charged for 680 gm of GAS @ of 1200 per kg as against the capacity of Ford Ikon for 530 gm.

The centre is not doing the work right in the first instance and also charging more for the work done. I intend to take the matter to consumer forum for resolution.
