NON REPLACEMENT/REPAIR OF BRAND NEW BUBBLE GUMMERS SANDALS

I always go for branded items for my children so that the product lasts and the quality is best. On my recent visit to Secunderabad, I purchased a Bubble gummers sandals for my 5 yr old son from a BATA outlet at the M.G.Road of Secunderabad. The cost of the sandals was 699/-Rs. I was very happy with my purchase not bothering the cost part at all. The very next day the sole of the sandals came off. In an attempt to get the same repaired/replaced I started looking for the bill. Unfortunately the bill was missing. Since the sandals was very expensive but did not last even a day, I thought I will request the shopkeeper to repair the same or replace it. To my surprise when I approached the shop incharge (an old man with specs who spoke tamil very fluently just a day before with us) refused to even recognise us. Since we did not have a bill, he flatly refused to even check his records or the billing computer where transaction is done by them. In fact the behavior of the salespersons were so odd. They refused to entertain us in any way and even abused us. All for a matter of 699/- only. I immediately left the store. It was easy for me to give them enough proof for buying that sandals from that shop, as the payment was done thru debit card. But there wasn't enough time as I was leaving that same day. Somebody please hear my plea and please do take action so that such incidents do no occur again. I am very disappointed with BATA. Since my childhood I always have purchased shoes or chappals only from BATA but this time it was a very bad experience.
