Damaged shoe

I bought a shoe from adidas last august and trusting the company I took it to US as I had to go for my higher studies. To my surprise the shoe's base ring came out during the first two months of my use. I couldn't return the product back to the company as I was sitting really far from India. Now when I'm back, I contacted the adidas outlet I took the shoe from. They say that my shoe has been sent to the head office and now its the head office's decision as to what action is to be taken with the shoe.

I request the company to either refund my money or exchange the shoe. It's been around two weeks now but I haven't heard from the company yet. The action should be taken immediately as I'll be leaving for States next month so I dont have enough time.
