Denial of free gifts assured with purchases

India Today Book Club use to call me at my mobile (0-9931917592) and offer products for purchase (tele shopping) wiih asured free gifts and entry to a prize draw. A unique number is provided in the invoice received with the products which has to be activated on its web site and take a print out of the gift vouchers which is used to claim gifts. The unique no provided is being rejected by the web site. I send an email regarding it. I received a reply that my no. was not activated by mistake and it is being activated and I was requested to try after 24 hours. When I tried again ; the unique no. was rejected again. I send an email again. Today (26/12/09) I received a reply that there is no free gifts.
