SOLE Broken in few days

I had purchased a LOTUS BAWA shoe from its outlet in Sector 17 Chandigarh (M/S RISHI PRINT CENTRE S.C.O. 76, SECTOR - 17C CHANDIGARH) on 20th Feb. 2010 in SALE.

Within 10-12 times of its use, the soles of both the shoes cracked/broke. I reported the same to the above dealer and sent the same for replacement.

At the time of collection, he told that the soles will be replaced by the company. On further enquiry about the repair after 15 days, he said that they would charge Rs. 400/- for the sole replacement.

He said that the company is not responsible for anything bought in sale.

This is a something serious. How can a waranty on the performance of a product cannot be assured if it is purchased on sale.

I request appropriate action in the case.
