I got a dell xps m1330 for christmas 2008 and straight away there were problems with the fan, then one thing led to another and i was eventually left 10 months down the line with my laptop being fixed for at-least half of that time. When it was sent away they either fitted faulty parts or did nothing or just ran scans where nothing was found. It has three screens, three keyboards, speaker cover touch buttons X4, three replacement covers for the back of the screen and the silver around the screen, 6 motherboards X2 palm rests with fingerprint reader and X3 fans. They then said they would sent a new replacement even though they had stopped making it. Bt every time the dead line came up for it to be delivered the time went back 2 weeks and this happened many times. Eventually after days on the phone the manager agreed to give a full refund, but the next day he called back and said i could not. As i am only 15 my mother made all the phone calls and after the 10 months all the phone calls and the stress made her very unwell. She then threatened them and said that she wold contact the Watchdog program to tell them about the last 10 months but they still did not give a refund!!!
I now have a macbook which is fantastic but case £750 which i had to pay myself with NO REFUND!!!
Please Please do not ever buy a Dell laptop as it will ruin your life and leave you with no money.
It cost Dell over £7, 000 to fix my laptop after the 10 months.
