Showing errors which are not present

I have bought a Call Of Duty2 DVD manufactured by Activision. It has been marketed by"Software Impex, 30/31, Kalakar Street, Kolkata-7.Contact no:22720006, 22698506". It installs properly but when i run the game, it shows"DirectX (R) encountered an unrecoverable error. Check the DirectX (R) FAQ for possible solutions." Then a .htm file opens and a list of four possible problems. I have checked all of them but none of them exist in my computer. I bought it from'Music World, Big Bazaar, Durgapur.' when I reported them of this error, they said that the DVD cannot be bad. They said that there must be some problem in my computer without even seeing it. I know there does not exixt any of the 4 problems listed after installation. Please help me in having the DVD replaced.
