Non Refund of School Fee

Hi Sir,

We have taken admission for my Kid (Y Varsha, Roll No:3298) in A School, Chettinad Foundation, Kottivakkam branch in 1st class for 2010 and 2011 academic year. We have paid the all the fees and completed the 1st class and got promoted to 2nd class.

Since there is no 2nd class available in Kottivakkam Branch, A School admin told us, she will be taken care by Pallikaranai branch from 2nd class onwards. Also told that they are going to provide bus facility to main schools.

After above confirmation only we have paid 1st term fee 9600/- for 2nd class on 12th April.

Since then I am communicating with the school for transportation details, but I didn’t get much information. Finally one day (I think it was last week of June) it was told that the school bus is providing only for 5KM radius from the Pallikaranai Branch.

Then I asked for transfer certificate and refund of the 1st term fee as I don’t have any other way to continue with "A School, Pallikaranai". They have given the TC but not agreed to give the refund.

Because of the School managements false information, I faced following issues.

1. I have paid the 1st term fee for 2nd class after their confirmation on transportation facility to my kid. Now they are not giving refund of the fee.

2. Since the transportation information is not given till last week of June' we couldn’t plan any alternatives for my kid. Also, we couldn’t get the admission in any of the schools as admissions are already closed. On lot of search, strain and difficulties we got the admission in other school.

Can you please take up this case and give us Justice.
