Refund of fee

Respected Sir/ Madam,

I am Dr. Ram Kumar Gupta from Lalru Mandi, Teh:- Dera Basi, Dist:- Mohali. Sir, at time of PTU counselling for B-tech, my daughter took admission in D.A.V.I.E.T, Jalandhar. We reserved a seat in IT branch of DAVIET. Date of starting of course in DAVIET was 9-8. On the same date we were having 3rd counselling in Punjabi University, Patiala where we got seat in ECE. So we withdrew our seat from DAVIET on 10-8, next day of their starting without attending their single Lecture. Later we asked for refund of our fees of amount Rs.48000/- deposited at time of admission. But inspite of refunding Rs.47000/- after deduction of processing fees of Rs.1000/- DAVIET management refunded us Rs.4-deducting Rs.1000 Rs.5000/- (1 month fees of course)= Rs.6000.

As per my knowledge any University cannot deduct such amount from refund from total fee without joining of course by student.

Please register my complaint under consumer act.
