No Class allotment and No Refund of Deposit

I had registered myself for DOT NET course on 19-Oct at HCL Career Development Centre, Anna Nagar, Chennai branch. At the time of registration, Ms. Priya was the counselor and she assured me that a new batch for DOT NET class will start during end of October. But till date no batch/class has been allotted to me.

Since November first week, I have visited and called their branch several times. There was no responsible person in the branch who could reply when the next batch starts. Every time I visited, I was introduced to a new person. During every conversation they assured me the class will be allotted shortly. Meanwhile Ms. Priya got transferred to HCLCDC T. Nagar branch and Ms. Arularasi was my counselor. Every time they said a reason the delay, which I presumed was genuine.

Having lost faith in Ms. Arularasi, I started to coordinate up with their Mr. Suresh, Business Development Manager from first week April. Every time when I call him, he was either on drive or in discussion or in meeting and would say will call back in 2 minutes and he never reverted back. And most of the times his mobile phone will be either switched off or there will no response. But still with some hope I waited till last week of April.

On 28-April, having lost faith on HCLCDC, I visited the branch again and had given a letter addressing the BDM, to refund my registration fee. He assured that the registration fee will be refunded within 2 days.

Having waited 2 more days for his reply, I called him on his mobile to know the status. As usual there was no response from him. Amidst great difficulty, I got him on their branch land after 7pm. He told that cash is handled by a Mr. P. Dhanasekaran, Centre Head. He also told that he has got oral approval from the Centre Head for the refund and asked me to wait for one more day as Mr. Suresh wanted the written approval from the Centre Head. After that there was no call from Mr. Suresh. Two weeks before when I called, Mr. Suresh told that Mr. P. Dhanasekaran was on leave for one week.

Since last week I have been sending email remainders to HCLCDC Anna Nagar Branch, South Zone and Head Office asking for the refund.

On May 20 I called Mr. Suresh to know the update. Now he says that he is not the concerned person. I need to contact Ms. Rajeshwari, a new appointed Manager. I tried to call Mr. P. Dhanasekaran, Centre Head. Most of the time he was not available at office. Except him other counselors use to on his mobile number.

Few minutes back before posting this complaint, I called Ms. Rajeshwari, Manager to know the status. Again, I had to keep the phone disappointedly only speaking to the receptionist. She said Ms. Rajeshwari is in meeting and will call me on coming Monday May 24.

I deeply regret to inform that it is not fair on HCLCDC, their staff and their management for having wasted my valuable 6 months time giving me hope that they will allot a batch to me, whereas they have started so many batches duirng this tenure, without acknowledging me registration.

MY ALL CONCERN IS, DURING OCTOBER WHEN I ENQUIRED WITH HCLCDC ANNA NAGAR FOR DOT NET, I WOULD HAVE RECEIVED ATLEAST A DOZEN OF CALL FROM MR. PRIYA INSISTING ME REGISTER WITH 50% OF RS. 18, 000 WHICH IS THE COURSE FEE. SO MUCH SO SHE SENT THEIR OFFICE STAFF TO COLLECT THE REGISTRATION FEE AND FILLED UP FORM. BUT SHE STOPPED CALLING / COORDINATING AFTER RECEIVING THE FEE.

DOES THIS LOOK ETHICAL FOR A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY LIKE HCL???

Now the scenario is they are neither giving in writing an apology letter for non-allocating of class or the reason for non-refund of my registration fee.

I request the concerned authorities to cancel the licence of such cheating institutions and advise me how should I proceed ahead legally for claiming compensation and my refund from HCL Career Development Centre.
