Blackberry Curve 3G 9300
Phone not being serviced properly under warranty

Hi,

I purchased a Blackberry Curve 3G 9300 on 27/12 in Croma, Eva Mall Bangalore. I had issues with the phone and I had given my phone for service at Fine Fone Solutions, Jayanagar which is a Blackberry authorized Service Center. The phone is not charging properly and is switching off on its own. I had given it for service for the 1st time in January with the same issues at Fine Fone Solutions and they said it was a software issue which they took more than 10 days to rectify. Even after the repair last time, the same problem persisted. I gave it for service again at Fine Fone Solutions on 04/05 when they said it was a hardware issue and the phone had to be sent to the head office. After following it up for a week, they finally informed yesterday that the phone was returned without repair yesterday i.e. 24/05. I got no information about the phone from the service center till I called and enquired about it which is a very irresponsible way of running an office.

A report was given that there is a liquid damage which is not possible because my phone has not come in contact with water and liquid of any kind. I was told by the manager at Fine Fone Solutions that it may have happened due to sweat which seems to be a ridiculous reason to be giving any phone user to begin with and that I work in an Air Conditioned office and liquid damage due to sweat is not a valid reason. The liquid damage, if any may have happened in the service center as no such issue was mentioned when the phone was given for service. My phone is still under warranty and it should be rectified under the warranty itself for which they are charging me about Rs. 3000/- as service charge.
