Blocking of stolen mobile

My mobile got stolen. i had logged FIR and blocked my SIM. i asked service provider Vodaphone to block my handset. They in turn told me to contact Nokia Care Center.

When i contacted Nokia - Bangalore i got reply saying that blocking my handset through IMIE No is not possible.

i went back to the cops for confirmation and they told me that it is possible to block handset through IMIE No and Nokia Care Centers can do that.

I was running here and there but could not no one helped me out. Now its 5th Oct. Till date i could't get proper reply.

I do not know where to contact and whom to approach.

Is there any website through which i can trace or block my handset through IMIE no.
