Dear Ms. Laurinda,

I am extremely sorry to disturb you from a country which is very far off. But as per your instruction I have forwarded my complain to your India representative Mr. Zubin Irani by e.mail, but unfortunately he has deleted my mail without even reading the same. The deletion confirmation came in my other e.mail. I know i am a small customer for him and he is country head of a big US company, i was expecting such response and that's why i have written to USA website. Any how today another person from your service dept. came and written in the report that (1/6 H.P D/S motor is defective and needs replacement). Now an AC of only 15 days OLD is having so many manufacturing defect and no step has been taken to replace the whole unit. Your customer service of India is telling that all the defective parts will be changed as the instrument is under warranty, no replacement of whole unit is possible. I am contemplating to lodge the complain with Consumer Redressal Forum legally with all the copies of the e.mail and technical report if the whole unit is not replaced within next 24 hours. I should take compensation for this mental agony. Today is 18th August night and 72 hours has already passed but my AC is lying as it is.

Comments: Dear Sir, This is to inform you that I have bought one Window AC of 1.1 ton Brand Carrier Estrella bearing serial no. 500205528101000211 from M/s Great Eastern, 290 G.T Road, Howrah 711102 on 29.07.2010. The AC was installed on 31.07.2010. I have bought this AC against my existing AC of LG make (8Years OLD). The existing AC of LG was in full running condition and impeccably maintained. I have bought Carrier AC considering the 3 Star EER rating and the brand name. From the start of this AC the sound generated was much higher than the LG AC but your installation engineer sent by M/s Great Eastern told that due to the thickness of the wall this is happening. But on 14th August night the Carrier AC started making some sound and within 2 minutes burnt smell started coming out. I have logged the complain next day 15th August by complain no: Kol 684. On 16th August your engineer came and found that the Runner attached to the machine is of 1.5 Ton instead of 1 Ton & it is loosening up once it is started. They could not check further for burnt smell source and gave us the technical report. Now the AC is lying idle and we are deprived of the facility bought at Rs.14500/- 550/-(Installation)= Rs.15050/- against my LG AC machine. I am really at loss what to do, and cursing myself for taking Carrier when the existing LG was in full running condition. I hope Carrier will change this defective AC and will give a new & proper AC. I don’t know whether M/s Great Eastern is at fault of such things, since my experience with M/s Great Easter is not very good during earlier purchases. But we do not have any other option near our home. Please see that my confidence in Carrier do not get shattered.
