I can't hear people talking to me

I am using Nokia 6500s handset day before yesterday it started giving me problem ie, if someone calls me or i called to someone they can hear me but i can't hear them. I can hear only if i switch my handset to loudspeaker or if i attach hearphone. My phone is 6 months old.
